Where to begin? Well. The Feast in September went very well, sales were down due to rain, but BOY did we have fun! Susan came from Missouri to help and Claudia came from Missouri/Indiana (confusing but true) and the help was wonderful. They are both WWOOF participants and were really great to work with... Susan had a skirt, blouse and vest for her and it fit well. We sold bottles with corks, soap and Sweet Annie among other items. After the Feast I purchased another dining fly that I intend to put together with this one to make a sales/eating area approximately 10x24. It should be ample space and keep us all dry. The wedge tent will be used as a shield over the cooking fire. It should work well. I hope to have curtains for the sides of the dining fly we can secure as well. ![]() And another pic of the dining fly as a sales area. We sold walking sticks that Susan and Claudia wove leather handles for also. ![]() The Dirty Smelly Man Tent sign is always a favorite. Although I think I need to paint the letters a little darker... The Dirty Smelly Man Tent in all its Glory with its owner, Hawk (on right) ![]() Hawk. The camp cook. Hawk cooks our food and generally keeps the camp tidy. He sells a few of his wares, tells stories and watches the world go by. He's the best. I love him and his wife, Vicky. They've helped me for some years now and are like family. Vicky (Hawk's wife) and Claudia setting up in the wedge tent on the first day (before the rain). Vicky (and Claudia both) were tireless workers and I couldn't have done it without their help (and Vince, Hawk and Susan too!) ![]() Susan from Missouri was a great help. I think she had a good time as well...
