Our weather here has been a challenge. We had 80F for about a week or so, then we've had nice weather... And NOW? Killing frost... Wow. What a struggle.
On to other things. Ellen J. Pettibone had just a few babies and now just one we rescued from her. She's such a large pig that I'm not going to pursue that line. So, she'll be in the freezer soon...
Bella the AHH had her babies. SIX. Before we could do much with her/them, we were down to 2 and now down to one. *sigh* I think I'll not breed for babies for a while. It's too much of struggle and too heartbreaking for me...
Oh, but Raven the Standardbred? LOOKING BETTER!! I suspicion Cushings (a disorder of the thyroid). But she's much better.

Raven aka Sam's Laura Louise - now four years old. Looking better, but still underweight. Sad little girl CAN trot, canter and RUN!!! I'm very happy to see this kind of spunk from her... Very sickle-hocked and somewhat cow-hocked. Ewe-necked for good measure with a fairly common head... Poor baby, she didn't get very nice genetics...
BEFORE the frost. Heavy frost. Our wisteria "tree" in the front yard near the door... It was so pretty...

Did I say frost? Yes I did. This WAS a rather large fuzzless kiwi. lWas. I'm not sure it'll come out of this frost damage. Definitely NO kiwis this year (again)... The grapevines on the other side of this trellis/pergola look just as bad... I seriously am disappointed...
Did I mention that Murphy went to be neutered? Yes he did. AND he got a bath. Very unimpressed with his bath. But he was so shiny and smelled nice too afterwards...
